In October 2018 an idea to boost the funds for a fundraising evening we were planning took root.
The evening of mediumship was being held to raise funds in memory of our Mums partner Roddy Carson. During his illness Roddy was in The Beatson Hospital and also The Ayrshire Hospice.
The staff of both places were not only amazing with Roddy but with the rest of us including Mum and Roddy's sister Yvonne and we felt that we had to do something to payback some of that kindness and care.
In the week running up to the evening 600 packs of shortbread were made and sold in angel shapes to symbolise the angels who work in the hospitals and hospice and also to tie in with the "Angel Blessings" name..
With the help of many Medium friends donating their time for free we raised £4000 to be split between the 2 charities. We also have to pay tribute to all the people and companies who donated raffle prizes for the evening too.
The fundraising has continued over the time since the evening and overall we are looking at £1000's for the Beatson Cancer Charity. The Charity covers the whole of the west of Scotland and needs every penny they can get. You can donate direct to them on the following link.

Every family these days has someone who is going through the Cancer process and as a family we feel we have a responsibility to help as many as we can by helping to fund the Beatson Cancer Charity.
Wherever you see "Angel Blessings Baking" there is money from everything we sell going to the Charity. With prices of ingredients and costs increasing by the day it might be a little less going to them but we are trying our best folks.
We have also had to invest time in labelling this year to stay up to date with "Natasha's Law". Every item packed is now fully labelled with every ingredient. We will also always have full data sheets in a folder with us. Please feel free to ask to see this. Although it took a lot of time and really only because of the help a good friend gave us have we got it done so quickly.
This not only protects the public but us as well and we have found that it has made selling easier.
